Spirits of Havana grew from my fascination with the city’s
faded beauty -the peeling walls, the worn colors, and the rhythm that hums through its narrow streets.
I wanted the surface to feel sun-soaked and corroded, the textures breathing with warmth, music, and rust.
Fragments of everyday life; a woman carrying fruit, a car in the dusk, a man walking into the light; appear like memories surfacing through time.
While painting it, I felt how Havana holds its spirit within decay -how life keeps dancing, even when the walls begin to crumble.
