Ibrahim Ferrer had a voice full of gentleness 
-the kind that seems to carry decades of life quietly inside it.
What always touched me about him is the softness beneath

his strength,as if every note held a memory, a smile,

or a bit of longing.

In this portrait I wanted to capture that calm, unforced presence,
the way he seemed to sing straight from the soul

without needing to raise his voice.
