There are places that exist beyond the edge of what we know -maybe just within. Hidden worlds where light behaves differently, where it falls like water through ancient stone. This painting began without a plan. As the layers built up, a space revealed itself -vaulted, enclosed, somewhere between a grotto and a cosmos, guarded. The light is almost like a presence that has always been there, waiting to be found.

The structured surface makes it feel excavated rather than painted -as if this hidden world was already there,

and I simply uncovered it.
